Yamaha F310-6 strings acoustic guitar review and price in India August 2019

No doubt Yamaha f310 acoustic guitar is one of the most famous and loved guitars in our country India. Out of ten guitars players, I'm sure that at least one of them is using it.

Yamaha is a Japanese company which manufactures a variety of products and one of them is musical instruments (guitar, bass, keyboard and so on).

It is one of the most trusted musical instruments manufacturers. If we take a look at their guitars it is indeed a world-class guitar.

Comparing their quality with Indian or Chinese manufacturer Yamaha is on another level.

If you are beginners or intermediate players this is a great option.

In this post, I will share with you a complete review of it and also some buying tips.

It is an acoustic guitar with a built-in tuner Die-Cast Chrome (TM-29T).

BODY SHAPE
It is a dreadnought body shape.

Dreadnought

The Dreadnought was created by Martin in 1916, who named the guitar after the massive British battleships. Of course, this was to reflect the big build of a
Dreadnought guitar, with its large, wide soundboard. Typically, a Dreadnought will have a body length of 20” and a width of 16”, with a scale length of 25.4”.

Due to the larger shape, a Dreadnought will produce a bold, balanced sound with a powerful low-end, snappy midrange and bright trebles. This makes it popular with rock, country and bluegrass players in particular.

Good for: As the volume ceiling is so high, a Dreadnought is a great fit for aggressive strummers and flat-pickers, especially those who want a strong low-end.

Not so good for: You can play fingerstyle on a dreadnought, although this certainly isn’t the optimum fingerstyle guitar. Also, due to the larger body size, Dreadnoughts are not as comfortable to hold for smaller players, including children.

MATERIAL USED

Here comes the most important part of a guitar that is which materials is used. It decides guitar quality in terms of sound, durability, looks, and the price.

For Yamaha F310 the manufacturer used a high-quality woods for its various parts.

• Bridge: rosewood
• Top: spruce
• Back: nato or agathis
• Neck: tonewood
• Fretboard: rosewood

RATING

Of course, it is a great guitar but for me personally it is not the best guitar, so I will give 4 out of 5. The reason is that this type of body shape is not ideal or recommend for a beginner, especially for a smaller player. It's way too big in size regardless of the sound quality and this will not provide a comfort level which the beginners, should have.

PEOPLE'S RATING

Positive

If you look in any online market, it has an excellent rating of 4.3 out of 5 which is not easy to get. It is one of the most loved guitars at this price. You will be surprised to see the overall quality at this price. It has been rated as the best guitar for its sound and body quality by the buyers.

Negative

Some buyers complained about package quality. It happens sometimes since Amazon is a huge company, it is not possible to be perfect all the time. It has some defects. They also complained that they get with broken seals and sometimes broke guitars.

Buying tips

I have said before that this type of body shape is not that great for beginner and for the smaller player but that is my personal opinion don't take it seriously. 

The best thing you can do is go to the nearby store and check it by yourself. Don't feel shy to give a few strumming and try to hold it in a position that you prefer. This will give better knowledge about it. Also, try others design and compare it with each other, it will help you a lot. Normally, this type of design has a thicker fretboard compared to other design. So choose wisely while buying it.

PROS

• It has a great sound tone
• It has a standard length
• It is very durable
• Lightweight

CONS

•  There is no cutaway model for this guitar. Meaning, it is not possible to play higher fret, but for beginners, it is not necessary to play higher fret up to 10-14 fret is enough
• It has a laminated body. Of course, it is not comparable with a solid body but that depends on the price.

LAST WORDS

We have seen from the above reviews that Yamaha F310 has it owns up and downs. It is up to the buyers to decide.
